Shijiazhuang鈥揥uhan High-Speed Railway
Shiwu Passenger Railway (simplified Chinese: 鐭虫瀹㈣繍涓撶嚎; traditional Chinese: 鐭虫瀹㈤亱灏堢窔; pinyin: Sh铆w菙 K猫y霉n Zhu膩n Xi脿n) is a 840 km high-speed rail line between Shijiazhuang and Wuhan in China under construction since October 2008. It is expected to be put into service by 2012. The total investment is 116.76 billion yuan. The design speed is 350 km/h (220 mph). It is part of the Jingguang line connecting Beijing and Guangzhou.
The railway crosses the Yangtze in Wuhan over the Tianxingzhou Bridge, which was opened in December 2009.
Track-laying has been started on November 29, 2010.[1]
